BPW trailed axles are manufactured based on the same quality standards as braked BPW axles. They are provided with camber to reduce tyre wear and provided with cataphoretic dip-coating with zinc-phosphating (KTLZn) as well. Additionally, BPW trailed axles with hollow axle beam are provided with a toe-in to improve their driving behaviour even further. |

With a variety of the permissible axle loads (up to 8.5 t) and different wheel brakes designed for individual applications, BPW offers an extensive range of braked axles with solid axle beams. They are provided as standard with camber to reduce tyre wear. Like all BPW running gear products, solid axles are also provided with cataphoretic dip-coating with zinc-phosphating. |

AGRO Turn
Setting the new benchmark for self-steering axles, BPW offers AGRO Turn axles with outstanding quality and reliability thanks to optimised designs and high-quality components. With a maximum steering angle of 28 degrees with positive steering, the axles provide better manoeuvrability for the trailers in small, confined areas, as well as the reduction in tyre wear due to less scrubbing.
AGRO Drive
The BPW Agro drive axle is a hydraulic powered axle unit that can be fitted to the trailer to assist with the mobility and manoeuvrability of the tractor-trailer combination. The axle offers a high torque and large speed range and seeks to minimize the ground impact by reducing the chances of slippage on the drive wheels of the tractor. It also enables lightweight tractors to pull heavier loads by reducing the starting torque needed for pull away and strain on the engine. This results in fewer trips and a reduced footprint on the lands.

With a high degree of equalisation (approx. 270 mm) between the axles with an even axle load distribution, both a very safe and comfortable driving experience can be assured. This is particularly important for trailers with a high centre of gravity, which in certain circumstances can present a critical driving behaviour.
